London Stolen Lives Picnic 2026
Take a look at some of the highlights from our 2026 Stolen Lives Picnic in London, an annual event organised by Antidepressant Risks to raise awareness of prescribed harm, antidepressant withdrawal, and the need for better support for those affected by prescribed medication.
The Stolen Lives Picnic brings together individuals, families, and supporters from across the UK and beyond to share experiences, listen to powerful testimonies, remember loved ones, and connect with others who understand the impact of prescribed harm.
These gatherings provide a safe, compassionate space for people affected by antidepressants and related medication to find support, reduce isolation, and build hope through community. Together, we continue to raise awareness, honour every story, and remind one another that no one has to face this journey alone.

Beforehand we also hosted a talk nearby aiming to deepen understanding of prescribed harm, informed consent, and the real human stories behind these issues. Speakers were Dr Sami Timimi, Lucy Johnstone, Anders Sørensen and Martin Kingston, among others, alongside a pre-recorded address from Dr Simon Opher MP.

The Stolen Lives Picnics, held annually on 29 July - Prescribed Harm Day, are a space to meet others, to share stories if you wish, or simply to sit among people who understand.
Global Stolen Lives Picnics
On Prescribed Harm Day 2026 we were proud to support Stolen Lives Picnics across the world, bringing communities together in solidarity, remembrance, and hope.
This year, picnics were held in Michigan, Melbourne, Bastia (Corsica), Lyon (France), Vancouver, and the Netherlands, creating safe spaces for people affected by prescribed harm to connect, remember those we have lost to prescribed harm and support one another.
Our global picnic hosts have made a meaningful impact within their local communities by raising awareness of prescribed harm, honouring the lives of those who are no longer with us, and helping ensure that no one has to face this journey alone. We are incredibly grateful for their passion, commitment, and hard work in making these picnics possible.
