Stolen Lives London Picnic 2026

London Stolen Lives Picnic

Hampstead Heath

29 July 2026 1:15 PM - 4:00 PM

This year the picnic will take place immediately after the Stolen Lives London Talks at Burgh House in Hampstead. You are welcome to join us for the talks, the picnic, or both. Please note that there are separate tickets for the London Talks, so be sure to book if you would like to attend.

The picnic itself is free to join, but spaces are limited due to restrictions on large gatherings on Hampstead Heath. We kindly ask that you reserve your place in advance to help us manage numbers.

Stolen Lives Picnics

The Stolen Lives Picnics, held on annually on Prescribed Harm Day, is a space to meet others, to share stories if you wish, or simply to sit among people who understand.

Warning

The most extreme reactions to antidepressants, including suicide and violence, are more common when the dosage of an antidepressant changes or when starting or discontinuing the medication. Sometimes these reactions are caused by switching from one type of antidepressant to another. Anyone considering altering the dosage of their medication or withdrawing from it should take medical advice first from a doctor or suitably qualified practitioner. Some doctors are unaware of these issues so you may need to find one who recognises the problems and can support you.

Disclaimer

This year, for the first time, we hope to see communities across the world gathering on the same day.

Your picnic does not need to be large or formal. It could be just a few people meeting in a garden, a park, or on a beach. What matters is taking a moment to mark the day, remember those affected, and stand together in awareness and compassion.

On 29 July, Antidepressant Risks is inviting communities around the world to host their own Stolen Lives Picnic to mark Prescribed Harm Day, a global day of remembrance for those harmed or lost due to prescribed psychiatric medication.

The Stolen Lives Picnic began in London as a small gathering organised by Antidepressant Risks, bringing together families, survivors, and supporters affected by prescription harm. It created a space to remember loved ones, share experiences, and stand together in solidarity.
