Dr. Peter Breggin is one of the greats in the critical psychiatry space. While many (especially pharmaceutical companies) consider him dangerous, he is one of my influences.

Dr Peter Breggin talks about how psychiatric drugs are incredibly destructive and neurotoxic. They poison brain, liver and thyroid cells and patients experience apathy, indifference and sometimes bouts of euphoria with an overall feeling that nothing quite matters anymore.

Known as 'The Conscience of Psychiatry', Dr. Peter Breggin has been fighting psychiatry's reliance on neurotoxic drugs, as well as other ethically questionable practices like lobotomy and electroshock therapy, advocating for therapies that focus more on care, love and empathy. He has authored dozens of scientific articles and more than twenty books, including medical books and a number of bestsellers. He shares the meat of some of these works in this conversation, together with his overall opinion of the psychiatric profession as it stands today.
