I’m Carol and I’ve had 20 years stolen by antidepressants.

It started when I was prescribed Paxil (Seroxat) by a neurologist to increase my energy. I had a mild form of MS. The side effects included weight gain, loss of expressing emotions, manic episodes, sleep interruption (hallucinatory dreams), head zaps.

When I finally withdrew it was agony. I couldn’t get out of bed because of painful joints, and I was an emotional wreck. I cried incessantly. This lasted for one and a half years.  No one warned me of how hard it would be to withdraw.
